Born and raised in the small town of Elkford, British Columbia tucked away in the East Kootenay region of the Canadian Rockies, Ben grew up outside and has always been fascinated by natural landscapes and the transformative power of spending time in nature.
Throughout the past 3 decades he has spent countless hours exploring British Columbia’s coastal and inland environments developing a deep appreciation for the diverse species of wildlife that share these wild spaces with human beings.
Professionally, Ben is best referred to as a jack of all trades having spent the last 12 years in a wide-variety of eco-tourism management roles including General Manager and Business Operator, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager.
Having studied business at the University of Victoria and abroad at City University in Hong Kong, Ben has spent time in more than 25 countries and enjoys learning best practices abroad in order to leverage them back home.
Ben joined the Bella Coola Heli Sports & Tweedsmuir Park Lodge team in 2019.
