Reservations & Guest Services Manager
Kate grew up by the beautiful sunny beaches of Perth, Western Australia, about as far away from the snow and mountains as you could possibly be. She learned to ski at around the age of 12 on a trip to Switzerland with her family, and blissfully snow plowed around the mountain whilst thinking she’d already mastered the sport. Over the next decade, she had the opportunity to ski in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and France, and since ditching the skis a few years ago, is now a passionate snowboarder!
In 2011 after 4 years of University, Kate completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Marketing and Public Relations. During her degree, she also had the opportunity to pursue a long-time dream, and spent 6 months studying abroad in Wilmington, North Carolina and travelling the USA.
After graduating, Kate began working in sales as an International Travel Consultant with Flight Centre Australia, further igniting her passion for travel and working within the industry. Following a spontaneous decision that saw her spend a year and half abroad in Europe travelling and gaining valuable work experience, she decided to make one final stop in Whistler for the 2014/15 ski season ‘before heading home’. She instantly fell in love with the mountain lifestyle and everything British Columbia has to offer, and has now made Whistler her permanent home.
Since moving to Whistler, Kate has worked in a number of positions related to Sales and Guest Services, and was stoked to join the team at Bella Coola Heli Sports in 2019 to continue developing her career within the snow sports industry. When she is not in the office, you will find her on the mountain or in the backcountry on her snowboard, or in the summer months hiking and mountain biking!
