 COVID-19 UPDATE

We recognize that you may be hesitant to book in these uncertain times. But good news! We want to allay your fears by making booking a trip with us RISK-FREE.

*** For 2021 Summer ONLY***

Deposits fully refundable 25% deposit is due at the time of booking. This deposit is 100% refundable for cancellations for any reason up to 45 days prior

Balance -  Due 45 days prior to the start date of the program. If within 45 days, circumstances related to COVID-19 prevent you from joining us, payment will be postponed until it looks certain that you will be able to travel to us and we will be able to host you.

Cancelling within 45 days due to COVID-19 related circumstances

If within 45 days, and after the balance payment has been paid, you are unable to travel to us or we are unable to host you due to COVID-19 related circumstances, we will offer you the 2 options below. COVID-19 related circumstances include; 

  • the Canadian international border remaining closed for non-essential travel
  • a governmental travel ban prohibiting you from travelling;
  • guidelines issued by the Provincial Health Officer advising you not to travel
  • a mandatory self-isolation period that is not feasible for you to adhere to
  • Bella Coola being closed to non-essential travel
  • You, or someone you have been in close contact with, has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus

Your Options;

1) A full credit of the deposit and the balance payments towards a trip in the next two summers, PLUS we will price-freeze your package so that you avoid paying the annual rate increase upon rescheduling!

2) Receive a full refund of the deposit and balance payments.*

*If you choose to accept a full refund and decide to rebook at a later date, you will be required to pay the annual rate increase upon rebooking.

Cancelling within 45 days NOT due to COVID related circumstances:

If, within 45 days of your trip start date and after the balance payment has been paid, you need to cancel for reasons not related to COVID-19 circumstances, your full payment is non-refundable.

*** For 2022 Summer & onwards***

Deposits - To secure your reservation, a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is fully refundable or creditable for COVID-related cancellations, and non-refundable in non-COVID-related circumstances. 

Balance -  Due 90 days prior to the start date of the program. If within 90 days, circumstances related to COVID-19 prevent you from joining us, payment will be postponed until it looks certain that you will be able to travel to us and we will be able to host you.

We ask our guests to thoroughly read all information supplied on our website before registering for our multi-day adventure programs because significant expenses and long term commitments are made to set up the trips on your behalf.

Registration & Payment

To guarantee your reservation we will send you a link to an online Booking Form. Within 48 hours of receiving your completed form, you will be sent an invoice with instructions on how to pay.

A reservation confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of payment. The balance of the all-inclusive packages is due 45 days (in 2021) or 90 days (2022 onwards) before the date of your arrival in Bella Coola.

All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and do not include tax. For all-inclusive packages, the tax rate is 5% for both international guests and Canadian. For accommodation-only bookings, the tax rate is 16%.

Liability

The guide's duty is to monitor, evaluate and minimize the risks associated with the activities being offered. However, even the best guides are not infallible and the risks associated with a wilderness environment are only partially under our control. By registering with us you acknowledge these risks. All guests will be required to sign a Release of Liability (Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement) upon arriving in Bella Coola. Please read the waiver carefully before booking your holiday to ensure you are comfortable with the terms of this document and will be able to sign it because you will not be permitted to partake in any activities until the waiver is signed. All claims - irrespective of the nationality of the participants - will be governed in all respects by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.

Insurance

Tweedsmuir Park Lodge does not carry insurance on behalf of our guests. We, therefore, recommend you carry the following:

Extended Medical Insurance. Your medical insurance should cover you for life and health care risks while in Canada, and in addition should provide for transport to your home country if you reside outside of Canada.

Emergency Evacuation Insurance. In the case of injury, air ambulance expenses will be charged to the injured party.

Personal Property Insurance. Insure your personal belongings against loss. Your homeowner's insurance may not be enough. Be sure that this insurance covers you while you are in Canada.

Trip Cancellation Insurance. In view of our cancellation policy, we strongly recommend that all our guests purchase holiday cancellation insurance.

Guest Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of our guests to ensure that they arrive in Bella Coola on time for their adventure. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is not responsible for missed flights, missed connections or for any other reason. If you are flying to Bella Coola we recommend arriving in Vancouver the day prior to your departure for Bella Coola. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge reserves the right to cancel any holiday package at any time. In this case, full refunds will be given.
